Volunteer EOI
Volunteers are an essential part of WICC’s ability to make a positive contribution to our catchment. We welcome people of all abilities and backgrounds. WICC volunteers can contribute a few hours or something more involved and ongoing. Totally up to you. If you are interested in volunteering please complete the ‘Register Your Interest’ below. Volunteer Roles
Community Planting Days – Hand plant native seedlings using Pottiputkis. Training provided.
Seed Sorting – Cleaning and counting seeds for propagation. Training Provided.
Seed Collection – Pick seed under supervision for local revegetation projects. Training Provided.
Bird Monitoring – Carry out bird counts as part of the Denmark Bird Group. All data supplied to Birdlife. Training provided.
Water Monitoring – Training Provided.
Weed Control – Carry out manual weed control. Particularly at Eungedup Wetland to prepare for revegetation. Training Provided.
Cockatoo Surveys Assess population size, habitat use through observation and data collection. Training Provided.
Bittern Surveys – Carry out bittern surveys at Eungedup Wetland. September – December. Training provided.
